Throughfeed Grinding

		Every grinding machine produced by LINEAR ABRASIVE utilizes a main base of cast-iron with reinforced pre-stressed concrete, which offers maximum rigidity and absorbs to the utmost, the residual vibrations, which are inherent when cutting at very high velocities.
One or several spindles with high precision ball bearings are directly mounted to the main composite base. This robust design promotes uninterrupted grinding of the workpieces. To maintain the required surface finish, the vertical spindle is attached to an angular positioning system (a pressure angle of the tool). This permits a double usage of the wheel, initially for rough and then for finish grinding (spark out).

		The workpieces are transferred by the conveyor belt, which is driven by a motor with variable speed control. To achieve consistent and reliable results, the workpieces are securely held and guided during the continuous grinding process.
